Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and GlobeHunt ("we", "us"). By playing GlobeHunt, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
The game
GlobeHunt gives you one mystery-place puzzle per day. It's free to play, and there are no accounts. We may add, change or remove puzzles, levels and features over time, and we may offer paid features in the future. If we do, we'll update these terms first, and nothing will be charged unless you choose to buy.
Your privacy
How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Your stats are saved on your device
Your stats and streaks (one for each level) are kept in the browser on the device you play on. They don't move between devices, and they're lost if your browser's data is cleared. We can't recover or restore lost stats or streaks.
Your device also gets a random player ID, shown under your stats. Include it if you contact us so we can help. A short record of each finished daily game is sent to us with that ID, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Fair play
Please don't:
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to play or access the game;
- send fake or altered game results;
- overload, attack or interfere with the game or the services it runs on; or
- copy the game's puzzles or content to publish elsewhere.
Sharing your results, like the colored squares from "Copy result", is welcome.
Our content
The GlobeHunt name, puzzles, clues and design belong to us. You may play the game for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Map data comes from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or corrections, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
Accuracy
We fact-check our clues, but geography changes and mistakes happen. If you spot one, let us know. We can't promise every clue is perfect, and a mistaken clue doesn't entitle anyone to compensation or a prize.
No guarantees
GLOBEHUNT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS. We work to keep it running smoothly, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Limit of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE AREN'T LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES FROM USING GLOBEHUNT, INCLUDING LOST STATS OR STREAKS. GLOBEHUNT IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Your responsibility
If you misuse GlobeHunt or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. If you have a concern, please email us first so we can try to sort it out informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved that way will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about GlobeHunt. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over running GlobeHunt.
